Firenze: the intricate restoration work set to transform the historic Palazzo

Firenze: the intricate restoration work set to transform the historic Palazzo built by the father of Dante’s muse in the heart of Renaissance Florence in Via del Corso into 4 luxury dwellings is now in its final stage. Suites, elegant apartments and a luxurious spa will ensure Palazzo Portinari constitutes an example of high-end and high-tech property redevelopment using state-of-the-art technologies aimed at energy savings. The project spanning 13 thousand square metres over five floors gives rise to 44 housing units, shops and offices on the ground floor; the restoration work retained the elegance of the ancient wooden ceilings, the frescoes, the marble columns and the stucco work, the fireplaces and the decorated monumental staircases; the communal areas will therefore be completed in autumn, with a majestic hall along with rooms for the restaurant, bistro, bar and spa. We’d like to share with you some pictures of the Construction site in progress, and of the magnificent interiors taken from the LDC Hotels & Resorts catalogue.
